Fix a problem
Find your symptom, try the next step, and know what to send support.

Start with the problem you can see. Search this site using the exact message if you cannot find it below.
Find your problem#
| What is happening? | Go to |
|---|---|
| TinyBoost will not open | Startup help |
| I cannot sign in or get access | Account help |
| Temperatures or clocks show N/A | Missing readings |
| A button is unavailable | Disabled buttons |
| My screen briefly went black | Graphics-driver restart |
| A setting or device stopped working | Undo the last change |
| An update will not install | Update help |
TinyBoost won't start#
| What you see | Try this |
|---|---|
| TinyBoost is already running | Check the taskbar and tray near the clock. Reopen the existing app and finish its current job |
| TinyBoost - Administrator Required | Right-click the executable → Run as administrator |
| TinyBoost couldn't complete startup | Restart Windows, open the official app again, and record any message that returns |
| Nothing happens when you open it | Check your security product's quarantine and verify you used the official signed download |
| The V/F Curve Editor must be launched from TinyBoost | Open TinyBoost normally, then launch the editor from its GPU tab |
If it still will not open, contact support with the message and your app version. Avoid repeatedly launching additional copies.
Windows or antivirus blocks it#
For Windows protected your PC, use More info to inspect the publisher. Only continue with a verified official download. If the publisher is missing or unexpected, contact support.
If antivirus quarantines the file, record the detection name and check the official download and digital signature before restoring anything. Keep protection enabled; do not use a broad folder or process exclusion.
Temperatures and clock speeds show N/A#
N/A means unavailable, not zero. One missing sensor can be normal for your hardware.
- Open Settings → Live Metrics and turn on Show live statistics.
- If the numbers are frozen rather than missing, click the temperature card again to resume live readings.
- Allow sensor detection to finish.
- If all expected readings remain unavailable, close TinyBoost and reopen the official app as administrator.
- If an integrity or initialization error appears, use a fresh official download and send support the exact message if it returns.
TinyBoost includes its sensor component. You do not need a separate HWiNFO installation or a replacement DLL beside the executable.
Sign-in and account problems#
| What you see | Try this |
|---|---|
| Sign-in timed out or Sign-in cancelled | Start sign-in again and finish the browser step |
| The signed-in account does not match the checkout email | Use Use a different account, then sign in with the checkout email |
| Paid access is not active for this email | Check the receipt email and use Check Purchase or Check Access |
| This account is already bound to another machine | Sign in on the intended PC; contact support if the message remains |
| Trial already used on this account or machine | Check existing access or available paid options; a different email does not reset trial eligibility |
| Disposable email addresses cannot be used for trials | Use your regular Google or Discord account |
| Secure session failed or time verification failed | Check your internet connection, reopen the app, and retry sign-in |
| This version of TinyBoost is no longer supported | Download the latest official version |
| Checkout is unavailable or says Coming soon | It cannot be completed yet; check existing access or contact support |
For trial cancellation or payment details, use the account guide. Do not send passwords or payment card details to support.
TinyBoost closed by itself while I was using it#
Reopen TinyBoost, allow recovery to finish, and note any error shown. Check your connection and account status, then confirm you are using the current version.
A closure can have more than one cause. If it repeats, tell support what was running and whether the app showed a message before closing.
Why is a button greyed out?#
Read the text beside the button or hover over it for an explanation.
| Message mentions… | What to do |
|---|---|
| Active optimizations | Finish your match and press STOP |
| Reset, scan, benchmark, or stress test | Let that job finish, or use its Cancel/Stop control and wait for cleanup |
| GPU profile operation | Finish or cancel that operation first |
| NVIDIA-only feature | Use a supported NVIDIA GPU; other hardware cannot enable this control |
| Missing saved profile | Complete the relevant GPU profile workflow first |
| CPU temperature or topology | Wait for detection; reopen the tool if it reports a detection failure |
| CS2 installation or map missing | Check Steam and follow the benchmark preparation prompt |
| Coming soon | The feature is not available yet |
Do not force-close the app just to unlock a control while restoration or maintenance is running.
Programs that clash with TinyBoost#
Process Lasso#
Both apps can manage CPU assignment. Read the conflict message and avoid having them control the same session. If you remove Process Lasso, restart Windows before testing again.
MSI Afterburner#
An applied Afterburner profile can interfere with GPU tuning. Reset that profile and close Afterburner before testing TinyBoost GPU controls.
HWiNFO (the standalone app)#
If you run the separate HWiNFO app, close it before a graphics-driver restart. TinyBoost already includes its own supported sensor component.
Steam#
Keep Steam signed in for CS2. If TinyBoost requests a Steam restart after changing launch options, save your work and close games before confirming.
The screen went black for a couple of seconds#
A brief interruption can happen after an approved graphics-driver restart. Wait for the display and TinyBoost to return.
If there was no restart prompt, the display does not recover, or it happens repeatedly during testing, do not assume it is normal. Stop further tuning and report what happened.
My PC feels wrong after using TinyBoost#
- Finish your match and press STOP if a session is active.
- Reverse the most recent setting you changed.
- Restart the affected app or Windows if requested.
- If you cannot identify the change, follow Undo changes before using Reset All Settings.
| Symptom | Check this if you changed it |
|---|---|
| Missing notifications | Disable Background Apps in Windows Tweaks |
| Fingerprint or face sign-in stopped | Disable Biometrics; undo it and restart |
| Printer stopped working | Print & Scan in Windows Services |
| OneDrive stopped syncing | Disable OneDrive Sync |
| Mouse movement feels different | Disable Mouse Acceleration |
| Matchmaking cannot find a game | CS2 → Server Blocker → Unblock All |
| No monitor or TV audio after an NVIDIA install | Whether the install included the HD Audio Driver |
| More stutter after clearing shader cache | Allow the game to rebuild its cache before comparing performance |
For an application that remains paused, bring TinyBoost to the front and tap M repeatedly outside a text field to request emergency recovery. This can stop the session and close CS2.
Windows Update / repair tools are taking forever#
A SFC & DISM Scan can take 30 minutes or more. Check the current step and let it finish. If you need to stop, use Cancel and wait for the app to finish cleanup.
If a scan reports an error, send support that message rather than repeatedly starting another scan.
Updates won't install#
If the message says Automatic update requires TinyBoost to be stored in an administrator-protected Program Files directory, close the app and move its executable to a TinyBoost folder inside Program Files. Alternatively, replace it manually using the official download.
For SHA256 hash mismatch, Download host is not trusted, or Manifest signature verification failed, the update did not pass verification. Retry from the official source. If it happens again, keep the exact message and contact support; do not bypass the check.
