CS2 In-game Settings#
View and edit your CS2 video configuration
Click Video Settings. TinyBoost reads your actual CS2 settings and shows them in two columns:
- Your Settings: what you have now. Every row is a dropdown you can change.
- Suggested Settings: what TinyBoost recommends for competitive play.
Close CS2 first
CS2 keeps its own copy of these settings in memory and rewrites the file when it closes, overwriting anything TinyBoost saved. Always close CS2 before you edit here, save, and then launch the game.
Suggested settings#
Click Apply Suggested Settings to load TinyBoost's current competitive preset, review the proposed values, then click Save.
Nothing changes until you press Save
Apply Suggested Settings only fills in the boxes. You can adjust anything you disagree with before saving.
If it can't read your settings#

If saving fails because the folder is read-only, use Fix Read-Only below.
Fix Read-Only#
Remove read-only permissions from your CS2 userdata folder and subfolders
Lots of online guides tell players to mark their CS2 config file "read-only" so the game can't overwrite it. That also stops TinyBoost from saving your video settings.
Click Remove Read-Only to undo it. You'll see "Read-only permissions removed successfully".
Launch Options#
Detect and display your CS2 Steam launch options
Launch options are extra instructions Steam passes to CS2 when it starts. Keep a copy of your current options before using this tool.
Click Scan Launch Options. TinyBoost reviews the current value and offers its supported competitive configuration.
Your custom launch options will be removed
The scan doesn't just look: it rewrites. If you have launch options you care about, write them down first. This same clean-up also runs when you press START.
Afterwards you'll see "Launch options cleaned successfully" and "Steam must be restarted for changes to take effect" with a Restart Steam button. Or, if there was nothing to change, "No changes needed."
To set launch options yourself, use Steam: right-click CS2 → Properties → Launch Options.
CS2 Nvidia Settings#
Apply FPSHEAVEN's CS2 Nvidia settings
Applies a ready-made NVIDIA driver profile tuned for CS2. Click Apply NVIDIA Profile.
On AMD and Intel graphics the card says "Only available for NVIDIA GPUs".
CS2 Ping#
Check your ping to CS2 servers worldwide
"Ping" is how long it takes a message to travel from your PC to a game server and back, measured in milliseconds (ms). Lower is better.
Click Scan Ping. TinyBoost tests every CS2 region and lists them grouped by continent, fastest first.

"Timeout" doesn't always mean bad
Many networks and servers deliberately ignore this kind of test. A timeout often just means "wouldn't answer", not "unreachable".
Also: this measures the trip to the server's front door. Your in-game ping will usually be a few ms higher. And if you're using a VPN (including Cloudflare WARP), these numbers change completely.
Use this before touching the Server Blocker below: it tells you which regions are genuinely bad for you.
Server Blocker#
Block CS2 relay servers by region using Windows Firewall
Adds Windows Firewall rules for the selected CS2 relay regions. Blocking a region can limit routing and matchmaking choices; it does not guarantee that CS2 will select a particular replacement server.
How to use it#
Do this
- Click Open Server Blocker. The region list is fetched live from Steam.
- Regions are grouped into cards by continent. Use the search box to find one by city, country or code (like
fra,lax,sgp). - Click Block on a region, or Block All in a continent's header.
- To undo: Unblock on the row, Unblock All in a continent header, or the red Unblock All at the top to remove every block at once.
The card on the CS2 tab shows a live count: 3 / 214 servers blocked.
Don't block too much
If you block every region near you, CS2 has nowhere acceptable left and matchmaking will search forever or fail. Block a handful of clearly bad regions, not everything you don't recognise.
Region blocks remain active until you remove them. They can affect other Valve games and can stop you queuing with a friend whose preferred region you blocked.
If matchmaking breaks: click the red Unblock All.
You must be running TinyBoost as administrator. If not, you'll see "Admin mode is required to apply changes. Reopen TinyBoost as Administrator."

CS2 Automated Tweaked FPS Benchmark#
Run an automated tweaked benchmark on Dust 2 to measure your FPS
Shows how much TinyBoost improves your PC, measured in the real game. You just click and wait.
Do this
- Click Run CS2 Benchmark. The first time, subscribe to the benchmark map when asked.
- TinyBoost launches CS2 and records a BEFORE run with no optimizations.
- In Initial Benchmark Complete, click Continue.
- TinyBoost applies its optimizations and records three AFTER runs. The screen may go black briefly; that is normal.
- Everything is switched back off and your results appear: BEFORE vs TinyBoost.
Your video settings are not touched
TinyBoost does not change your CS2 video settings during the tweaked run. BEFORE and AFTER use exactly the same in-game graphics settings, so the difference you see comes from TinyBoost's optimizations alone.
Takes about 10–15 minutes. Don't touch the PC while it runs. Nothing stays changed afterwards; press START to play with the optimizations.
Manual Benchmark#
Test your own changes: run BEFORE, change anything you like, then run AFTER. TinyBoost applies no tweaks.
Use it to check whether your change helped: new graphics settings, a new driver, a BIOS setting, anything.
Do this
- Set BEFORE runs and AFTER runs (1–5 each) and Duration per run (20–104 seconds).
- Name both sides, for example "Low shadows" and "High shadows".
- Click Start Manual Benchmark and leave the PC alone.
- When BEFORE runs complete appears, make your change.
- Click Start the AFTER benchmarks and wait for the result.
Change one thing at a time so you know what made the difference.
