Managing applications during a gaming session and configuring supported processor assignment options.

Where: Open TOOLS → CPU.

Use this tab to choose which background apps are paused or closed during a session. Processor assignment is optional; leave the defaults if you are unsure.

Process Manager#

Open Process Manager to choose applications that TinyBoost may close or pause when a START session begins.

Close (kill) ends the selected application. You must reopen it yourself later.
Pause (suspend) keeps the application in memory but stops its work until resumed. Its window may appear frozen.

Keep apps you need during a match, such as voice chat, out of both lists.

Save your work before using either option. TinyBoost excludes protected system targets, but applications can still contain unsaved work.

While a session is active, use the gear beside STOP to resume one paused application or all of them.

CPU Process Affinity Manager#

Affinity means which processor cores an app is allowed to use. Open Affinity Manager to review or create rules for supported applications.

Select an application.
Review the processor groups shown for your hardware.
Choose the assignment you want.
Apply or save the rule using the buttons in the window.

The labels vary by processor. TinyBoost can show performance and efficiency groups on supported Intel CPUs, or chiplet groups on supported AMD CPUs.

Change one setting at a time

Restricting an application to fewer processor resources can reduce performance. Keep the default when you are unsure, and compare results before saving a permanent rule.

If a rule causes problems#

Remove the rule in Affinity Manager, press STOP if a session is active, and restart the affected application. Reset All Settings can remove all saved TinyBoost rules if needed.
